Teen Money Tips - Money In Versus Money Out

Does your money just seem to disappear, and by the end of the week your broke with no idea where it went? If so, then you need to find a reliable way to work out exactly how much you are spending versus how much you are earning. By doing this you will be able to track where you spend too much money and avoid those places as often as possible. Also, you will know exactly how much more you need to earn (or how much you need to reduce your spending) to break even or find yourself at the end of the week with more money than you started with!

How you do this is not difficult! Simply write down everything you spend on one piece of paper and everything you earn in that same time period. At the end of the week subtract the expenses (what you spend) from what you earn. Repeat this process for about 4-8 weeks and if you consistently wind up with less money than you earn or the same amount as you earn (not losing, not gaining) then you need to get your expenses in order. Read over some of the other posts in this blog and find out about ways that you can cut down on your spending. Also, in the near future I will provide more ways of reducing your spending without having to really change your lifestyle so make sure you bookmark this site!
