Teen Money Tips - Mall Control

Every time the majority of teenagers step into a shopping mall, they come out with something that they usually don't need. Whether it is a new shirt, a video game or some other trinket most of us leave a shopping mall with our wallets having taken a savaging. Another interesting fact is that two thirds of everything we buy in shopping malls, we had no intention of buying on arrival at the mall. So if your wallet is struggling to survive here is a great exercise to help you save money and increase self control!

Simply remove all bank cards, credit cards and cash from your wallet or purse. Now place a $10 note in your pocket (or a 5 pound note if your English) and go to the nearest shopping mall. Simply walk around the shopping mall for at least an hour (go into all your favourite stores etc) but DO NOT, I REPEAT - DO NOT spend any of it, NOT A CENT! After the hour is up leave the mall and go home or whatnot. Simply repeat this every day you go down to the mall and after you have done this 5 times in a row without spending anything double the amount of money you take. After you repeat this and get past $80 take your card instead. After this you should realise that it IS possible to go to a shopping mall and not spend anything!

Teen Money Tips - Promote your website or blog for free!

If you have a website or blog that you use to make money or promote a business, and would like to get more readers (and hopefully a higher Google ranking) then you should definitely read this article. Today I am going to tell you about Link Referral. Link Referral is a great, free program where you promote your website or blog and get a higher ranking in their directory by checking out other people's websites or referring new members Link Referral.

How does it work? As I have explained above there are two different ways to get your site higher in the Link Referral directory. The first way is to refer people to your Link Referral sign up address where they then join Link Referral. Doing this is the fastest way to get lots of visitors to your site and a high ranking in the directory. However, this only works as long as you can provide a constant stream of people ready and willing to join Link Referral. The other way of gaining traffic - Visting people's sites, gives you a guaranteed increase in your directory rating. You also get extra rating points for reviewing people's websites.

Teen Money Tips - Job Ideas For Teens Pt2

More job ideas for teens-

Web design – If you are good at creating attractve, functional web pages reasonably quickly then you could find yourself employment designing web sites for people who need them. It is important to do this in a professional manner, so you need to have a set price guide (eg, $30 up front, $30 when the customer is satisfied with the website and $5 for each update you have to do on the site) To get started with this then you need to have a computer with the appropriate software. Also, you need to advertise with fliers around local businesses, a good website of your own and word of mouth.

Installing and fixing computers – If you are good at installing/putting together computers then this could be an ideal line of employment for you. Simply go round to the person's house, plug the computer in, show them how it works and you're away! You could also offer tuition for a per lesson rate ($5 a lesson etc) Another thing you could offer is to upgrade people's computers. They could pay you to source the components they need and do the installation. Most importantly though – you MUST know what you're doing. Nobody wants their new thousand dollar computer ruined by someone who doesn't really know how to put it together at all!

Teen Money Tips - Money In Versus Money Out

Does your money just seem to disappear, and by the end of the week your broke with no idea where it went? If so, then you need to find a reliable way to work out exactly how much you are spending versus how much you are earning. By doing this you will be able to track where you spend too much money and avoid those places as often as possible. Also, you will know exactly how much more you need to earn (or how much you need to reduce your spending) to break even or find yourself at the end of the week with more money than you started with!

How you do this is not difficult! Simply write down everything you spend on one piece of paper and everything you earn in that same time period. At the end of the week subtract the expenses (what you spend) from what you earn. Repeat this process for about 4-8 weeks and if you consistently wind up with less money than you earn or the same amount as you earn (not losing, not gaining) then you need to get your expenses in order. Read over some of the other posts in this blog and find out about ways that you can cut down on your spending. Also, in the near future I will provide more ways of reducing your spending without having to really change your lifestyle so make sure you bookmark this site!
