Teen Money Tips - Mall Control

Every time the majority of teenagers step into a shopping mall, they come out with something that they usually don't need. Whether it is a new shirt, a video game or some other trinket most of us leave a shopping mall with our wallets having taken a savaging. Another interesting fact is that two thirds of everything we buy in shopping malls, we had no intention of buying on arrival at the mall. So if your wallet is struggling to survive here is a great exercise to help you save money and increase self control!

Simply remove all bank cards, credit cards and cash from your wallet or purse. Now place a $10 note in your pocket (or a 5 pound note if your English) and go to the nearest shopping mall. Simply walk around the shopping mall for at least an hour (go into all your favourite stores etc) but DO NOT, I REPEAT - DO NOT spend any of it, NOT A CENT! After the hour is up leave the mall and go home or whatnot. Simply repeat this every day you go down to the mall and after you have done this 5 times in a row without spending anything double the amount of money you take. After you repeat this and get past $80 take your card instead. After this you should realise that it IS possible to go to a shopping mall and not spend anything!
